A Gospel Mandate to Serve
Jesus calls us to a life of service, to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, provide shelter for those with none, to care for the sick and those in prison. At Trinity, we live this out in a variety of ways.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center
One of Trinity’s primary partnerships, the MLK Center serves the people of Newport every day. Trinity raises funds for their programs and provides volunteers on a regular basis. Learn more about their programs and find a place where you can help by visiting their website.
On the 1st, 4th, and when there is one, 5th Mondays of the month, Trinity hosts a free meal for those in our community who need support. Volunteers prepare and serve a hot meal and spend time visiting with our guests. Volunteers are always needed. For more information, contact Jeffrey Greene via the church office, 401-846-0660.
Holiday Outreach Programs
Each year the people of Trinity participate in a variety of seasonal outreach programs. Recent efforts have included Stockings for Soldiers, Christmas Giving Tree, and Gifts for Teens. Check the Trinity weekly email and Sunday bulletins for details.
Trinity Loving Community (TLC)
TLC serves the needs of those within our congregation and community who need pastoral care of any sort, from rides to friendly phone chats to Eucharistic visits to recognition of life’s memorable occasions. Parishioners may call this month’s coordinators with their needs.
Join us in supporting this vital ministry! For volunteering opportunities and training schedules, please contact the office to be connected with the monthly TLC facilitators.
