Serve the Community
Whatever you did for these brothers and
sisters of mine, you did for me." - Matthew 25
We are committed to serving our community and supporting the other organizations in
Newport that are doing important work already.
Community Meal
On the 1st, 4th, and 5th Sunday of every month, we offer a Community Meal in the Hawes Room. Volunteers cook and serve the meals, set up the room, and provide to-go meals for people who need them.
If you want to volunteer for Community Meal and it's your first time, our coordinator D'Arcy Carr recommends signing up for Food Service, which is a good way to learn about the process.
New volunteers of all ages are always welcome.
Pumpkin Patch
In the month of October Trinity Church runs a pumpkin patch on our lawn. Proceeds from the Patch go to non-profits in Newport and beyond to support their important efforts in the community.
Our Patch is made possible by all of our volunteers who unload pumpkins, work shifts, and bake treats to sell.
Sign ups to work the Patch will be available in September. Contact Diane Myers for more information or to help in a leadership role.
Food Drive and Other Outreach
We currently collect food items to donate to local non-profits. Non-perishable food items can be dropped in the Tower Room of the church when you come in the main double doors.
Our recently formed Outreach Team will be working together to establish other projects and efforts to support our neighbors in Newport and beyond. Stay tuned!
